I just joined my first book club. I know, it's so unlike me. I don't read a lot of fiction and I don't really like the idea of sitting around and discussing a book in a group setting. But Mosaic church started a bunch of groups this fall and one was a book club. I was curious to see what a book club at a church would read so I contacted the leader and found out they are reading "The Shack" by William P Young. Then, I ready some amazon.com reviews including things like, "it's one of the best books I've ever read...it changed my life." But I would have to say that my joining may have something to do with the fact that the leaders are serving dinner and the author, William Young, will also be at the meeting. Wow, you can't beat that. A good book, delicious food, stimulating conversation, and insightful thoughts from the author. Cool. I'm all about book clubs now. I'll write a review about this book after I finish reading it. So far, I know it's about a guy whose daughter is brutally murdered and her body left at a shack. This father later finds a written note from God, telling him to go back to that shack. Should be a good read.

what a great idea to write a review! my book club has read 18 books in as many months. i think if i wrote at least one paragraph on the books, it'd help me remember it better. but i read too many.
weren't you supposed to be writing some other articles, too? :)
see you SOON!
